Record a walkthrough once. Link to it forever.

Onboarding steps, bug reproductions, how-to guides: record the screen, point at things with arrows, add a link to the docs, and let the transcript and chapters do the navigation. Update it later by re-recording a section instead of starting over.

How it works

  1. Record the flow with your voice. Open the editor afterwards to trim the stumbles by deleting words in the transcript.
  2. Add annotations at the seconds that matter: an arrow to the button, a box around the error, a clickable link to the doc.
  3. Share the link or embed it in your help center. Add chapters so viewers can jump to the step they need.

Annotations over the video

Text, boxes, arrows and links appear for the seconds you choose. Links stay clickable on the share page.

Chapters and search

Chapters are generated from the transcript, and viewers can search the words spoken.

Embed anywhere

A responsive embed works in docs, wikis and help centers. Downloads keep annotations and captions burned in.

Stitch clips together

Combine several recordings into one walkthrough without exporting anything by hand.

Bug reports that reproduce

Share a short recording with a transcript so an engineer sees exactly what you clicked and said.

Agents can use it

Vertov has an MCP server, so an AI agent can read your walkthroughs or record and share one.

Questions

Can I update a walkthrough without changing its link?
Yes. Trim, cut, re-annotate and re-export the same video and the link stays the same.
Do annotations show in downloads?
Yes. MP4 exports have text, boxes, arrows, link buttons and captions burned in.
Can I use it for customer-facing help?
Yes. Embed it in your docs, set the visibility to anyone-with-the-link, and add a call-to-action button at the end.
